The high-quality housing looks chic and is stable processed with small gaps. The 2 TB of storage are properly rated for normal large backups. In operation, the disk is barely audible and the heating is extremely low. The data transfer rate is for copying large files in the range of approximately 80 MiB / s; However, I have saved myself for the exclusive use as a backup drive for additional measurements.
To complain I have only that the connection cable with 42 cm length is too short. I therefore use a longer cable from the stock.
It would be ideal if Seagate would offer for this hard-drive series as standard or optional docking stations as for the now discontinued FreeAgent GoFlex Pro Series. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has decided not inexplicably it.
