When the sky is divided ...

DAI is a WRPG (Western RPG) that was developed by Bioware and is the direct successor to Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2. Below I rate the game based on my major, differently weighted criteria.

Graphics:
The graphics are all in all really succeeded. The different areas are colorful and very detailed. The design of the areas is strongly geared to the previous Dragon Age games and trying to create within the framework of fiction a realistic picture of medieval Europe (France, Germany, Great Britain (14th to 16th century). These also the beautiful lighting effects and character models ,
Despite everything, there are on the PS4 games are more beautiful to look at (Infamous Second Son, The Order, 1886, ....). You can tell just the DAI was also developed for the last generation of consoles. Therefore, DAI earned in this category 8/10.

Music:
The music is a major triumph and there are even some very good pieces (as in some boss fights or fight dragons). It acts rarely intrusive and contributes promoting in the atmosphere of the game.
A truly masterful soundtrack, as in a Final Fantasy, but should not be expected. Thus 8/10.

Error on a technical level:
You can tell in some places in the game that there would have been a little optimization. The frame rate breaks into some challenging fights relative strong and graphic, and audio errors occur relatively frequently. Unfortunately, there are some errors in certain Besides Miss Onen, which can lead to non-receipt of trophies. None of the errors, however, is really so severe that they interfere with the game seriously. For the many little mistakes there is therefore 6/10 points.
(In the meantime, have appeared several updates that should have eradicated the worst mistakes.

Gameplay:
DAI plays like an action RPG with tactical elements. All battles take place in real time, in the sometimes vast areas instead. Depending on the difficulty a clever use of tactical view (pausing the game and manual input of commands) is necessary. The Inquisitor (your character) are doing up to 3 companions in the fight to side. The AI ​​is rather rudimentary, but at least do not interfere. Many battles are only conditionally exciting. The focus of the game is rather on the exploration, the partly huge areas. Some boss battles, especially, but the battles against the eponymous dragons are truly spectacular and sophisticated. Many side quests are rather boring and repetitive. Some, above all the vehicle emissions, however, are masterful. Each companion has this own trials and tribulations and their history to discover one of the absolute highlights of DAI. All the major characters are really well written and not cliched pabulum. Since each of them has different interests, it is possible that they are contrary to the numerous options you also dialogue or make known their displeasure with certain decisions. The gameplay is really solid, however, could have tolerated in some places a little optimization well. Overall, 15/20 points.

Story:
The story is basically quite simple and never climb such heights, as a The Last of Us or Persona 4 Golden. However, she lives by the masterful interactions of the characters to each other and an incredibly detailed elaborate history of the world. The antagonists may be somewhat flat, the companions and their history but never. Rarely it was so worthwhile to explore even the remotest corners of the map to smaller sub-plots as in DAI in one game.
For the story there of me 8/10.

Incidental and playing time:
As already mentioned above can spend an eternity in the game and still get good value offered for the money. Added to this is also an online mode, which also should deal some time. Several game passes are never boring, that you using Dragon Age Keep the Internet each time a new story (the predecessor) can tinker and the small but important differences are really worth. For this category DAI gets so 19/20 points.

Staging:
This is one of the few points where I can not criticize much, because this is really well done. Maybe a couple more interesting cut scenes that advance the story better, it could have been on. Therefore 9/10 points.

Makes a total of 83/100 points or 4.15 star (rounded 4 stars).

Anyone who enjoys exploring a really interesting world, the game is this to heart.
