Graphically Bioshock 2 is almost identical to its predecessor, just little things like textures, lighting and shading effects were minimal improved. But honestly, what would you want the graphic style improved still great?
Since you can now use Plasmids and guns at the same time, make the fights much faster and more pleasant than in Bioshock 1. Even the notion that you as a Big Daddy slowly and sedately running through the area is in the negative. It moves almost as fast as the protagonist of Bioshock. 1
About the story .... I'll tell nothing here is not gespoilert! ;-)
Technically sound just as (very) good as its predecessor, even here there is nothing to complain about.
As a nice "bonus" gibs time a multiplayer mode with rank system, rather nice in between but if you like online FPS should rather turn to other games.
My rating:
Graphics: 9.5 / 10
Sound: 9/10
Gameplay: 8/10
Pro's:
+ Multiplayer mode
+ It is a Big Daddy ;-)
+ Return to Rapture (mood, soundscape, lighting effects, art deco style, ...)
+ Pleasant and appropriate Synchonsprecher
Con's:
- No individual controller assignments
Conclusion:
Bioshock 2 is a successful continuation of Bioshock 1. However, if you're hoping to countless improvements and innovations, is wrong here. However, if you would like to once again plunge into the wonderful world and Rapture will be well served with this game.
