Gottberg is the nearly 30-year guitarist who with his debut album "Do You See Me?" such a promising start lying, that you as curious is more further.
Already the main subject of the title track "Do You See Me?" in the elegant drawing a tempo inevitably enter the following in the 11 tracks that have conceptually very different approaches. With "Voices" Gottberg, however, has composed a ballad so sensitive that they can remember great models. The enormous restrained his solo guitar playing and the beautiful arrangment have the makings of a true classic.
Overall, the album is a more than vielversprechnender beginning for a new "star" in the jazz firmament. Although conceptually not a whole unit is still emerged as the album, so that's what can arise from the present potential, more than exciting.
One of the most exciting new releases these days.
