I grind so nuts or meat and meat grinder performs very well. Unfortunately it is very difficult to clean (total it consists of 8 parts: the two filling parts in white plastic, the main tube, the screw, the locking ring forward of the perforated disc, a connecting piece and a knife) and has many corners, edges and angles. Especially when working with raw meat that is uncomfortable and not well thought out.
Because I was fumbling with the cloth and brush too cumbersome I gave the parts in the dishwasher. A big mistake! Since I am with my "oh what, for me, everything comes in the dishwasher!" - Usually unfortunately times fallen quite on the nose.
Both the thread (screw) and the main part is made of aluminum and have terrible dark discolored, have become dull and blotchy and the worst: they turn totally black from. Did it then very remorseful again washed first by hand and then tried to grind nuts - but first came a while gray out of the machine. Buäh.
It sounds fortunately get back on, and is not poisonous, but beautiful is not. Will continue to use this accessory, but quite honestly, why one uses because here no stainless steel?
So listen to me and learn from my mistakes: Never put in the dishwasher with aluminum parts.
