* "Every Six Seconds" was a new metal album with a lot of Rap
* "Back Into Your System" was a modern rock album, with great, melancholic melodies and hard rock
* "Survival of the sickest" was a mainstream rock album of the highest quality in the style of Monster Magnet
The now present "Blood Stained Love Story", is to make a long story short, the hitherto definitely worst album and the band has hereby achieved the musical nadir. There is absolutely no innovations. Perhaps it is because guitarist Chris D'abaldo has left the band. The CD is on the whole a boring and easy to usual. Seen it connects seamlessly with partly miserable rock releases in recent months.
The ponderous first single "Ladies and Gentlemen" with the chanting is not much here. There are far too many "slow" songs. The ballads - songs like "Never gonna change", "Going Under" or "Here With You" are a real hard rock - band simply too nice and simple. For this I need to buy me no Saliva album.
In the following songs, the band reaches at least normal form:
* "King of the stereo" is definitely the best song on the album, which would have fit well on one of the two previous albums. The song rocks, like crazy, with really rough guitars and a rapping Josey Scott. Just cool. So Saliva should sound.
* "One more change" rocks also quite nice, with a great chorus.
* The ballad "Starting Over" is really strong, with sensational bassline. The only slow song that I like.
* "Black Sheep" is the style of the first CD, rocking violently: So Saliva should sound.
After Saliva have highly worked with the penultimate album to a really strong position in the American rock (just think of the Super EMO - Rocker "Always") and the subsequent change of style towards mainstream rock in "Survival" They are now in the Pop - World canceled. Really cruel. To buy this album is a waste of money. Maybe it will be the next album better, the potential would be there.
