Already the first track "Viva la Vida" is the skill of Garrett. Through the so-called loop technique (a particular section is repeated again and again), he plays with herself almost as a band. Yet he does not destroy the magic of the original song, but creates an impressive tribute.
Even with "Cry Me A River" and "Whole Lotta Bond" (a classic version of the James Bond theme) it suits me perfectly. He and his band are perfectly integrated into a whole, and they harmonize beautifully.
In the classical pieces that are here also again available as a stray, he disappointed me but then a little. Especially in the quiet tracks like "Nocturne" by Chopin simply lack the strength. Garrett and his Stradivari almost go under. Here I would have liked that one puts him more in the foreground.
Conclusion: one worth listening and great cross-over album, which I like to forgive the weakness. Who loves David Garrett and his music, will go wrong by purchasing the album nothing.
