I can only say that Stevie Nicks is a super album succeeded by listening after repeated. With Mable Normand, 24 karat gold, Hard Advise and the incredibly perfect song Lady This album contains more than a few beads. These songs are by the great classics in nothing. Actually incomprehensible that some songs have so long rumgelegen in the archive.
24 karat gold is a very varied album. Much Mid Tempo, West Coast rock, some firecrackers à la I Don`t Care, of the Stevie Nicks says it's a song in Led Zeppelin tradition (and that is it also) and some beautiful ballads like Lady, and of course Caroussel She Loves Him Still ... fantastically
Lyrically mostly autobiographical and with statement. You can tell that Stevie has an exciting life. She has a story to tell and it does well. There are no trifles.
The only drawback for me is the Cathouse Blues ... nice, but somehow no album song. Although I believe that the band had a lot of fun when playing in the studio, but when I think that this one had other classics clear the square ... well ....
And finally again the Note to Mable Normand: More Stevie Nicks will not do. Maybe even her best song ever. 24 karat gold is an album that will make fans of Stevie Nicks happy and quite suitable for rediscovery of this artist. Let's hope for a volume 2 with the still unpublished masterpieces such Something Exquisite, City Of Hope or Sanctuary ... come on ... there are some more Stevie gems in the vaults !!
