Customer Review

Through my profession I am in the fortunate position of being able to test many top smartphones. Mostly I use the device for several weeks. Correct hanging I remain rather rare case of a device.
I'm not a "fan" of a spec. Manufacturer or mobile operating system. All have their advantages and disadvantages.
Price and performance have to be right and the device must simplistic fulfill its purpose.
(Just before the Passport I had the iPhone 6 and 6 +.
Expensive but nice. I find excessive, even if the haptic is very good price. Otherwise, not much new compared to the 5s)

When Passport I was undecided in advance. The images that I had seen. The article that I had read. When the delivery arrived, I assumed that it either a "wow" or "what should be the the" will effect which is established at startup. But it turned out differently.

The device acts initially large and the form is used to. The excellent screen stands a but immediately catches the eye.
Also, the weight is a little higher than I expected.
But the case is very valuable.
The longer you work with the device, the more you notice, this is the form and the resulting use the best of what is currently on the market.
I have to say, I learned that I already know the operation of BlackBerry 10 from other devices and appreciate.
The message center, the "HUB" is perfect. I do not know any solution that allows such a deep integration of all messages in a very finely adjustable Overview. The possibilities are endless. But already in the ground state, everything is top use.
Already the virtual keyboard of the other devices (Z10, Z30) is me their word recognition, the best on the market.
In Passport which is driven with the touch-sensitive keyboard that works like a trackpad on the top.
There is also a battery life as I could not see.
The battery is 3500 mAh with stronger than that of the iPhone 6 plus. And it shows! Even with intensive use to get through the day.
The charging time is still only about 2.5 hours.
(And unlike my other BlackBerrys, the device will actually be loaded when navigating in the car and not empty).
A real workhorse.
The sound of the phone is also absolutely top. In listening and speaking direction!

Two small problems still seems to have BlackBerry with firmware:
-for a I had two small hangers are (eimal was a gesture in the hub no longer, once lacked suddenly the word suggestions), but which could be resolved by rebooting and no longer occurred since the
-something worse, but also very sporadic the device loses when switching between 2/3 / 4G network. Other devices (same power) do not have the problem. But it is only very rarely observed

But that obscures the very positive impression in any way.
I'll keep the device and use it as my "daily driver", my workhorse.
I would have no hesitation in even buy me privately, if I did not get it through my employer.
(Neither BlackBerry else who pays me the way that I write this I'm just doing this for a reason. I'm thrilled :-))

And finally two words to equipment and operating system of the device:

With features like Miracast, USB OTG, NFC, etc. It has everything your heart desires on board. To unlock Picture Password!

You can on the Amazon Appstore Android Apps install, if you do not find software in the BlackBerry World (and a few tricks actually any Android App ... I'm just saying ... Snap).
Hence the app theme is no longer an issue.
(Unless you need a very special app. You have to test then stop. I would have liked, for example, Lightroom Mobile, which it simply does not yet exist mW for Android. That's what I call holding on in the browser .... but I digress from :-))

Added to this is the software Blend, with which one can access the data of the device from PC, Mac, iPad, etc and even on mobile!

My review is way, with software version 10.3.0.908, which is released on Vodafone and T-Mobile.

Last sentence: this review was of course written in the Passport!
