To make it short: I am from the outset a fan of Rob and his combo (Matchbox 20), which is why I have no hesitation also bought his solo debut. What to expect? Catchy melodies, the one does not let go after a short and really first-class arrangements. And I thought so far always, Rob's strengths lie in the powerful ballads, but here to convince me most is the quick, catchy, rock-influenced songs with power. Absolute Hightlights "I am an illusion" (incredibly eingängier bass in the background) "This is how a heart breaks" (Class drums) and of course, "Lonely No More" (radio hit). Which does not mean that the ballads are not as brilliant, as one is already accustomed to MB20. Very soulful arrangements, catchy melodies and soulful voice. My favorites: "Problem Girl" "My, my, my," and "Now comes the night" in which alone Robs voice and a piano wear these creeps ballad alone. All in all a successful mix that of Rob's experiment and the varied producers and colleagues (including John Mayer) lives. 5 star - topsy It could not; o)
