Some may find the first part ("CV") a bit long and superfluous to the rest of the book. In fact, I believe that if Stephen King engages in this sort of autobiographical introspection, it is to show that it is essential: to speak of writing for a writer is first and foremost talk self and his own life experience, show that both are inseparable. Moreover, it is the writing that should be at the service of life and not vice versa, as this quote sums up we find on the back cover: "Life is not a logistics system to support the art. It is just the opposite. "
