I first chose this book because it was classified as science fiction. A nuclear bomb erases 2000-year history and a little group of people trying to survive as after a disaster. As a book of science fiction, I would put to him that the note 2. In fact, how can we speak of science fiction when the world in which we not change? When we returned a few centuries back where we do not change cotoie techniques and mentalities? How can we speak of science fiction when there is no philosophico-political-economic dimension? The characters in the story never question what happened, why the bomb exploded? Against which we were at war? Trying to run the country? And above all: are there other survivors with whom we could exchange, share our knowledge to improve our daily comfort? This is a slice of life on a very particular situation. It also comes back with some shots on the man-woman relationship: men are there to protect, build and make decisions in councils which women are excluded, normal ... They are in the kitchen ... So I would classify this book in regional books which you can appreciate human relations people of the countryside, with their dialect, their ancestral traditions. And despite all that, I had a hard time turning off the light at night. I let myself be lulled by the beautiful writing and by this story full of twists. In short, Malevil bewitched me! Unable to let go ....
