Now what makes Emergency 5 because now better than the successor? - Just graphics (!).
The graphics have improved significantly, but unfortunately suffers from the game under severe performance issues despite 8GB RAM, SSD, GTX 670 and a modern i7 4771 processor. The performance has come to play, the game has in major fires or inserts with several vehicles but quickly FPS dips what bothers some. I play now on medium graphics settings because I simply have strong FPS dips at high and ultra. The game is a PC-only title just so bad optimized, includes the game no advanced graphics settings. One can distinguish between the resolution and Low / Medium / High / Ultra choose ready. No fine adjustments like shadows, antialiasing, no can not. It feels like a loveless bad "PC port", and that for a PC-exclusive title!
Now the graphics are one thing, but much more interesting is indeed the missions, the campaign and the open world. First, the open world and the random missions:
