When I bought my A7 in December I confined myself then only on the body because I allowed myself to be put off by the many bad tests and field reports, the objective concerning.
Why do I have now yet penetrated me to buy it?
Quite simply, I work to 90% with analog lenses (Yashinon 135mm 2.8, Fujinon 55mm 1.8, etc.) which make the A7 a really good figure and provide herrvoragende image results, but I did not have a compact, slick "Always top" especially when it time is of the essence.
Certainly the light intensity is not outstanding but it's a standard zoom and tags as well as the super low-light performance of A7 + image stabilization even get good results in low light to pass.
Visually, it is at full aperture setting in all sharp in the center with a clear focus drop towards the edges, so as actually with all lenses. Dimmed reach maximum sharpness which is impressive in my opinion, and does not need to hide from the more expensive lenses. When I repeatedly read from distortions of many types then I understand the Kritikpunt not entirely because either one can easily do this let rausrechnen per Lightroom via lens correction or you shoot anyway in JPEG and thus has camera Internally, the correction already inside, so what's the point whining? And yeah Architecture where any distortion is undesirable but I will anyway not using zoom or ?!
The Bokeh is thanks to rounded diaphragm blades with 7 in number very nicely in all stops, also the color reproduction and contrast well. Autofocus is inaudible and quite fast. In short, the lens is wonderful for the price and the perfect all-rounder for the Alpha 7 I can not say, of course, how it behaves in the A7R but the 24 megapixels are (even if some do not want to hear) dimmed sure maxed.
Short PRO - CONTRA list:
+ Price
+ Weight
+ Sharpness (center Offenblendig)
+ Autofocus silently
+ Good allrounder
+ Image Stabilizer
+ Bokeh
- Relatively light Low
