I had a long time one of the typical electric toothbrushes with rotating brush head. Because of the rather clunky handpiece and hygienic bit problematic for my taste brush mechanism (filthy fast) but never came so right enthusiasm and when I forgot the handpiece in a hotel some time ago, I went back to the manual toothbrush, without shedding a tear.
By chance I saw in the Christmas season this toothbrush at a good price. Primarily me has prompted the slim look to give this model a chance.
The Postman brought a remarkably small package. It was out of the brush, an (unnecessary) instructions and a charging base nothing. The pictured in the Amazon product description second brush head was not supplied.
HOW TO USE
The brush head has satisfyingly hard bristles, which still show after the first few weeks use no signs of fatigue. Even with slight pressure gives a good cleaning effect. Unlike normal e-toothbrushes with rotating brush head here moves the whole cleaning attachment. This has the advantage of simpler mechanical construction, which is much better and easier to clean. There rattles pretty when you order comes to the teeth. Probably for this reason, some areas of the brush head are provided with a rubber coating. Other "sonic toothbrushes" need special Zahnchreme. This one uses a lower frequency and therefore can be used with any Zahnchreme that you like. Since there is only one button, you have to press (depending on used level) either when entering or turning off twice before you get the desired result.
EFFECT
The teeth feel after brushing pleasantly clean and smooth, subjectively better than with my previous rotary toothbrush. Although I have relatively sensitive gums, I could not notice any irritation or bleeding in the early days.
CHARGING TECHNOLOGY
The toothbrush holding twice daily, use loose two weeks without recharging through. When she is at the end, unfortunately you can not see, despite a built-LED before it starts simply. LED on = LED off = past. When charging, the LED flashes. That's not much. Add to this that Oral-B is based on the obsolete NiMH battery technology. After all there in the auction bay repair kits for replacement batteries, so that they are therefore not to be thrown away at some point like many other model from the same manufacturer.
CONCLUSION
The good news: Apparently good, elektisches brushing goes without fat Klopper in hand! At the cleaning action there "pure" nothing to complain about.
The bad news: In the Save Oral-B has a bit exaggerated. A better load control and more than one button would despite its compact form quite possible as the competition next door demonstrates the same price quite loose. When the brush heads are cheaper, so the comparison is worthwhile in any case.
TIP
There are suitable for replacement brush third-party, but not all are good. The proposed like Amazon Make "The Good" is more "not the good". Those things are way too soft and ruckzuck over. The brushes of E-cron are not quite so cheap. There are up to the lack of brand imprint hardly a noticeable difference from the original.
