The camera is supplied with a Lithium Ion 3.6 Volt 740mAh-2.7Wh battery; optional, I recommend another 940mAh, 3.4Wh Li-ion original battery to avoid the often-mentioned compatibility trouble.
As SDHC card I have a 8GB Transcend, Class 10, which receives and HD videos without any problems.
Since the transfer via cable lasts supposedly forever, I would advise everyone, in which that is the case, to remove the SD card from the device and copied via USB reader the images and movies in a folder on the PC, will take with me barely more than a minute.
Since much has already been said, I will confine myself to the following:
Each new camera works differently than the old one.
Even the function of most optical image stabilizer to improve or verschlimmbessert.
What was verschlimmbessert in this model, is the extreme noise reduction at ISO 800,
which currently can not be adjusted.
The generated "Farbpampe" is useless!
I will now not make the mistake and use a SLR to compare
or a model with a larger sensor.
I look at the camera than what they actual
a compact model with 14.1 Mp CCD sensor on a 1.1 cm much space as non-
while the camera creates for good and even with less good lighting conditions, thanks to the optical image stabilizer, beautiful and true color images with a previously functioning perfectly white balance without color cast. The shooting at wide angle are surprisingly well and have only a slight edge distortion.
The video function is very good for a compact and as already mentioned by the previous, almost sharper than some image. The optical zoom can not be used during movie recording; the subject is focused so before you start recording!
For HD video a few technical details still, which can not be found on the fly:
One minute HD video seize depending upon information 195MB to 215MB. Will be saved in MPEG-4 QuickTime MOV format MJPEG codec, bitrate 27.1 Mbps at 1280 x 720 pixels, 16: 9 and 30,000FPS.
As Audio (sound) is used: PCM, 256Kbps bit rate, 1-channel (mono), 16,0KHz sampling rate at 16 bits resolution.
Conclusion: Good allround camera with a few weaknesses.
Settings and scene select well thought out.
Operation of getting used to but after that intuitively.
Control buttons too small, as in many compact.
Optical zoom, image stabilizer and Macro work well,
Image quality in daylight well.
Video quality surprisingly good and beautiful on my LCD is clear and sharp.
Although mono sound, but clearly, not overloaded.
The DMC-FS11 has convinced me with their strengths and give you a good model for little money
but the guiding principle, more money usually also more camera applies!
Only 4 stars because of some shortcomings like setting compression and noise performance.
IdS me.
