We have the Lascal attached as a safety rail at our stairs. To this end, we had to also order the matching pipe supports. Decisive for the purchase was the retract function, since the door protection (when open) is therefore much more discreet than the classical safety gates. The handling is more complicated, however. A simple hook is often not enough, because it then only but does not lock up, down. One must then turn up again in order to hang it down accordingly. The time delay of the child-resistant mechanism is in our not described 15 seconds but just 5 seconds (I just timed it). This means that you have to either hurry or turn continues again. The blind therefore remains closed mostly, to climb over it low enough. This is faster and easier.
Conclusion: Great idea but could be improved with regard to the closing Mechanismuss. The price I find too high. As long as there is no alternative for the traditional grid, but I would buy it again.
