I recently had the opportunity to test a Rollei Compactline 350.
This is about at the level of ES75 (priced / equipment).
With the Rollei but I was not very satisfied.
So I came up with the Samsung ES75, brand new and visually very appealing (they are also available in several colors).
The Samsung makes a good impression, the true quality of workmanship.
After the 1st turning on the really good display falls on (which is not at all the cameras in this price range so).
2.7 inch size is really sufficient and also the resolution of 230,000 pixels, the quality of the captured images to estimate quite well.
Brightness and overall impression are absolutely ok.
The Samsung has a 5x optical zoom, which is slightly more than the average is absolutely sufficient in this class and for an all-round camera.
But now the picture quality.
The Samsung makes under good lighting conditions consistently good pictures.
At slightly less light, as in normal room lighting at night, of course, increases the image noise.
But that's all cheap cameras so (and also in many more expensive).
I think that the audience for the ES75 are rather the "Normalfotografierer", ie they are at home on monitor is not in the picture "zoom" and seek noise. In normal image size which is then hardly an issue.
The focus is also in order.
The colors and the overall impression of the images are absolutely ok.
The Samsung ES75 is definitely better than the example above Rollei.
The supplied software "Intelli-Studio" is also very good (image viewing and management).
Slightly less good is the video function.
This takes only videos in a resolution of 640x480 pixels. Anyone who attaches importance to acceptable videos, will be disappointed here.
Tip: I've trained my photos in 16 me take 9 format. This format can also be set in the ES75.
It costs initially somewhat overcome but I find it is to look at later on most PC monitors or on a high-definition flat screen television at its maximum size the best format for the images.
Conclusion:
The Samsung is a really good all-round camera.
Price / performance absolutely ok.
However, anyone who has very high requirements to the picture quality will be more disappointed and will have to look around in a different price range.
