403 Middle

I use this tripod for more than 2 years for my D5100. Here is my opinion.
* Positive:
lightweight, high, relative strength of the feet, quick release tray, folded it can be used as a monopod. Aluminum cash carefree (and paint) rain and salt spray. Presence of the essential spirit level, which seems rather accurate.

* Negative points:
Its lightness makes it very sensitive to wind and handling, even in the ballasting. The head is correct for fixed plans, but terrible to be used to make video (the movements are not smooth at all). The plastic mechanisms are very fragile (I have the vertical movement of the head broken for over a year, I can not block this axis), the plate horizontally is NOT horizontally. The central axis can not be removed to be returned (to make the macro, for example)

My conclusion: very light, all is solid and transported very easily. The plate of the detachment is a treat to spend the tripod in hand. Nevertheless, the lack of features and fragile mechanisms of the head limits the use of the tripod of the fixed and lightweight picture (not too big objectives). It is used to stabilize the image effectively, but it will not be using it is windy or hope to do more than it is supposed to do. In video use, totally prohibited except (and again) fixed plan.
