I bought this in mind for the ride on my Nikon D50. I noticed distortions at 18mm (it is possible to do otherwise in this kind of goal), eventually faint coupled with a limitation of iso my case, sometimes average colors ...
After a small mistake Amazon, I received the same objective and retest a few months later on my new box, the Nikon d7000. The picture quality was better, most iso beach compensates for the low opening. So the best on this case, but I wanted a longer focal length. I'll try the 18-250 coupled with my D7000, see if I can find a good compromise for trips that cover all "simple" needs this type of photography.
