Reinhard Mey's 1981 album appeared Not a minute tells mainly about everyday events. A review of their own past has "Happy birthday to me". French twist in music style can be found in "Dieter Malinek, Ulla and I". A merciless accounting performs Mey with Ärztepfuscherei in the song "Dr. seamless, Dr. Sägeberg and Dr. Hein". Even then, he mastered the verbal acrobatics as in "From exterminators, sheet protectors, from you and me" shows. Instructive he gives himself in tracks like "Zeugnistag", humorous and yet with wisdom fraught in the title track "Not a minute". Country music accompanied "Daddy Blue", a song in which the show business in general and the music industry is under attack in particular. In addition, the CD offers "castles in the air that have been broken" and "What do I know you?" calm and thoughtful pieces. Overall, Not a minute has just under 45 minutes of good entertainment and variety. A quite ordinary CD that makes you want it repeated listening.
