dinner probably was a little disappointed because I opened crowned its huge success in Holland. The idea to hold a sort of family settling over the duration of a dinner at a great restaurant seemed fun and potentially of great strength. Alas Herman Koch dragged out his purpose with long flash back when all explanatory average reader has understood what it was. A little ambiguity and especially more droughts in the writing would probably be better served about it. Three stars anyway because the subject is interesting, the pending and held that the characters are anything but caricatures and we reserve everyone a surprise.
