A disappointing start but a wonderful ending!

Rare are the times I'm bored me in a romance with the Highlanders, and I believe that this time has arrived! (You will say it starts badly it's true, but it finished well!)
After a first volume which mavait delighted and held in suspense, javais forward to continuing the adventures of three brothers McCabe and discover history dAlaric whose charming and flirtatious side presaged a very nice suite. But then, the first two thirds of the book does not transported Mount!
Yet the talents décriture Maya Banks and a basis for the plot of the most promising are present but not enough to whet Nont my interest.
Alaric, the youngest of the brothers McCabe, is found badly injured during his trip to join the McDonald clan where he must marry the daughter of the Laird, Rionna to establish an alliance between the two clans and better fight sworn enemy McCabe, Duncan Cameron. The only survivor of the ambush, he will end up in the dune cottage healer that will save her life. Keeley, banished from his clan McDonald, will heal this warrior does not know how and a relationship that could be described lon darchangélique (yes it exists! Write it down for your next game of Scrabble) grows between them. McCabe clan will soon find the strength and take the young woman to continue to deliver what Alaric feet.
From there, it does not happen much we'll follow almost daily, the budding love between hero and that is about all. What bothered me most this is the growth of feelings in a kind of fog and semi-consciousness that Alaric demonstrated to Keeley. A very strong love is very powerful that it created without there really déchanges puisquAlaric between them is mostly, or asleep, or delirious with fever. So yes this is actually a very romantic story, like a thunderbolt for a hangover when the hero sees the girl as an angel and heroine, isolated for years, can only fall under the spell of this beautiful like a warrior God and increasingly glorifies all day.
And to me the Highlanders marshmallow heart jai a little trouble I much prefer stories between heroes who do not support (at least initially), with verbal jousts, raw and consuming passion, then the side too "romantic" dAlaric a little to my little disappointment for this volume one.
So why 4/5 anyway you say? (Normally my bill was more than sapprocher 3/5) Well i loved the last third of the book !!! The style of lauteure has much since we really imagine the worst happen! (So do not be like me and not read the back cover of Volume 3 which you spoliera the end of this Volume 2) And I shamelessly LAVOUE my romantic heart (yes apparently jen got one!) was overwhelmed na demotions and had no choice but to dump all "Oh, this is beautiful! "" But this is cute! "" What this is moving !!!! "That it contained.
The actions of the characters at the end of the novel are all masterful, and I sense a volume 3 of the tastiest, and most passionate and above (and last!) Of the most tumultuous!
And I must also to add Maya Banks didnt like him to give sensuality and spice up her sex scenes! So this is also a strong point of this book, because even if Alaric is rather tender and romantic kind, it shows a completely different side in the privacy or even sometimes overbearing.
So to summarize, this volume, which has a dimension of the most romantic of love thwarted with history, will delight amateurs of love impossible. More sensitive to electrical and passionate stories of love I remained however very moved by the ending of the story and Maya Banks very well illustrate this book by the adage: "Nothing is stronger than love"!
