A gripping, melancholy journey

Then this CD was in a shop as background music and a title was immediately grabbed me: The melancholy, simply gorgeous "EST". The gloomy keyboard soundscape, which introduces the song, the beautiful voice of the singer and the onset of guitars, who reminds me of early pieces of Simple Minds, U2 or the Oysterband: this echoing, slightly "Celtic" guitar sound. Pictures of a deserted rocky coast and dark, deep drifting clouds came me with this in mind.
Even the subsequent song drew me into the spell and has finally prompted me - what for me is extremely rare - the CD spontaneous buying.
As "Anspieltips" (better: by listening time business and in the business longer) I want the title 2, 5, 7, 8 and especially recommend the above 6th song - alone this track justifies mE the purchase of this album.

I guess that it will create these albums also at the top of the German charts, but I do not think that with these songs, the singles charts are conquered; to the pieces are too melancholic to be nice to dream ...
Otherwise: Simply a coherent album, good Songweriting, beautiful instrumentation (also strings are used) and a wonderful singing voice. The game lasts about 45 minutes.
For me, so far * the * Album of the Year.
