I read this novel just after the crime on the Orient Express, which I loved. I particularly appreciate this ability that Agatha Christie has to show the duplicity of the human. Whether in Ten Little Indians or the Murder on the Orient Express, the protagonists say things in public, almost lying to themselves before moderate their speech when they face their own conscience. This is a typical behavior of the imperfect human being and I think Agatha perfectly describes this duality within us at times.
As much as I had enjoyed the Hercule Poirot intelligence and how to resolve investigations in the Orient Express, as I did not like the conclusion of Ten Little Indians. Please note that the end is excellent and very difficult to predict. I did not like a moral point of view. I can not say more at risk of revealing the epilogue, which would be a shame.
There. I had set a goal to read these two great novels of Agatha, and it's done. I might be me tackle a third of his works ... but I still do not know which.
