The hard-hitting story, sometimes with brutal, but also with poignant scenes, has drawn me from the beginning in its spell and not let go until the end of the film again.
I was impressed by, due to the few dialogues, the excellent acting performance of all actors and in particular the overwhelming expressions. The immense power of expression on the face of Mads Mikkelsen is almost palpable. It is also striking Eva Green in the role of dumb Madelaine, from whose face you can read all the emotional worlds.
What convinced me of the soundtrack. The poignant at the beginning of the film and touching scenes are discreetly, quietly and sensitively underlined. Music, often only a few high notes or composed, builds, because where appropriate, crackling tension.
I have not seen very often works where Story, Actor, camera, editing and music harmonized so perfect. I am therefore convinced that this movie history was made.
