Ludovico Einaudi is a well-known composer and pianist in Italy. He was born in 1955 in Turin. He comes from a very famous and successful artistic family. His grandfather Luigi was 1948-1955 president in Italy. The other grandfather was a composer and conductor. His father Giulio in 1933 founded the publishing house Einaudi, which is today one of the largest in Italy. Ludovico was educated at the Conservatory G. Verdi in Milan and began his career as a film composer, among others, he composed music for films by Andrea de Carlo (writer and director) and Nanni Moretti (filmmaker, producer and actor). He now lives mainly in Tuscany and has composed numerous pieces for piano. Was published in 2006 his most successful CD entitled "Divenire". For several years he traveled through Europe and concerts. Particularly in England and Japan, he is very well known and recognized.
The inspiration while composing the track "Le Onde" from the eponymous CD took Einaudi the novel "The Waves" by Virginia Woolf. In Youtube, you can see a very nice video of a Japanese woman who plays "Le Onde" where every now and again wave scenes are shown (youtube - of Jeerewan). I like almost all the compositions on the CD, the melodies are very relaxing, beautiful and touching the soul. In Youtube also piano lessons are offered so that you can find some pieces, including "Le Onde" to learn or receive instructions for Playing and can also load the notes down (you tube - Ybor 81 - the teacher speaks however Italian).
