A musical masterpiece

Book of Ballads-Faun Acoustic (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Equal first, there is a "Limited Edition" of this CD, at an additional 10 minutes long track No.11, "Brynhild song", is available. Too bad that Brynhild's song on this version does not exist, since the one of my favorite songs is to relax.

The songs per se, I find high (ie pure music technically) very good, musically well mixed, the total playing time of the CD is very short. It was just clearly focused on quality rather than quantity. One should not expect a stylistic connection to the previous work "Totem". Ehr at "Renaissance". "Brynhildur Tattur" was at the initial hearing some getting used to, since it is based on a recording of a tour bus, now I think it's very good. "Sen Polska" and "seam matter" do not require any singing. The last 3 songs make for me personally the highlight of the CD is, "Mr. Henry," I hear very well.

The booklet is designed high-quality and sophisticated. It is a pleasure to read it. Unfortunately, the CD is stuck in a cardboard sleeve behind, so that inevitably occur during removal / replacement signs of wear. This should have been better able to solve and I was tempted, so subtract a star (as the CD when removing / to be put in quickly wears out). But that would be the overwhelming content of this book does not do justice.

If you like medieval music, should definitely access.
