Musical masterpiece

What makes this album the musical masterpiece? The fact that this is a very good cross section of various political and social issues, while maintaining the basic themes of German music, so love and longing, are not forgotten.
On the rocking opener "Tears in the ocean" already follows one of the highlights of the album: "no man's land" is characterized by an atmosphere that is palpable to the listener. Especially the echo effect at the end leaves the last verse "The no man's land is no longer there" appear actually continue singing as from afar.
With "Where the Truth Lies" there is also a rather typical Schlager, who nevertheless has earworm potential.
"The invisible power" is one of my personal favorites, interestingly enough, is this song in the first-person perspective, although the singer was not directly affected by the action sung.
Clear parallels with the play "longing is incurable" can be "Maybe someday" find in, because it is again a young woman who expects more out of life, but not (yet) have the power to begin something new.
In the title song of the album the theme of escape is addressed (or attempt), in part, dramatic images that are probably still founded on facts.
Again after two very personal songs followed by a critical text, this time in the form of a Bible story.
The last part is devoted to a more general topic again, although very slowly, almost monotonous acts musically, it still remains in memory and marks a successful conclusion of a successful album.
In summary therefore say that the album contains a balanced blend of brisk, stirring songs and quiet, dreamy pieces, with those songs that express in some way social criticism or Prottest, with only one exception ("When it gets dark") fall within the first category.
For me personally it is a gold coin German music, that every fan, or anyone who wants to be there and should have.
