To say it right away: there is plenty of what one can interfere in Bioshock 2. As would be the graphics, which is not really bad though, the possibilities of the PS3 but by no means exhausts. Since the second would be the fact that you always "Adam" has to collect throughout the game, that is, in plain language, usually six times a Level one "Adam" find -geschwängerte corpse, set traps, enemies and so repel what the time can be annoying a little. On top of that Bioshock is not a classic 08/15 shooter, but is characterized by a high degree of originality that will surely not be everyone's taste meets.
My but well, what we are actually already in the reason why I Bioshock 2 - to these and to not further spread despite weaknesses - without hesitation 5 stars admit. There are at most a handful of games that have been really fascinated me and awakened in me the desire to send a gift basket including Thank cards the entire development team. Bishock 2 belongs, just like its predecessor, clearly intended it waits but on with a clever back story and a really exciting atmosphere that attracts me invariably captivated. I just love to roam the crumbling Rapture and explore its secrets and to always ask me, on what kind of surprises and wacky characters I will come next.
Speaking of characters, here Bioshock might take off with the clearest of many other games. Elsewhere are the NPCs neatly divided into "good friends" and "evil enemies", the dividing line at Bioshock runs far less sharp. So are the numerous existing tape diaries and frequently made clear to listening loudspeaker announcements, the motives and thoughts of those involved and solve - at least for me - alternately pity, sympathy and contempt for the persons concerned from.
At this point, a big compliment for the German dubbing speakers is due, who have done their thing really great and contributed to the exciting atmosphere of the game have (Small side note: Simpsons fans will certainly recognize immediately the German voice of Waylon Smithers and if I'm not very much mistaken, then Andrew Ryan shares his voice with none other than Dark Wing Duck).
Finally, I would like to make a few brief comments on individual aspects of the game:
- Difficulty: "normal" can Bioshock 2 by playing without much frustration. Only at the beginning, the Big Sisters nerves a little. But if one has enough plasmids and those used wisely, also represent this not a big problem.
- Weapon selection: Weapon selection is varied and quite creative. In addition to standard weapons such as shotgun or machine gun there are fancier such as. The drilling arm, the rivet gun or harpoon. Different types of ammunition also ensure variety and encourage you to try.
- Plasmids and Tonikas: Plasmids and Tonikas also invite you to discover and try out. I can only suggest here each to adhere not only to conventional "magic" like lightning, ice and fire. Although it might seem at first glance a little weird, you can just sweeten abilities like "Insect Swarm" or "dummy" at a higher level very day.
- Opponents: Opponents diversity can mE to a little lacking, though really only a little. What I really miss though, are thrilling boss fights, as she has quite yet given the predecessor.
- Control: The key assignment is a good choice in my eyes and goes quickly into the bloodstream. That you can not remap the keys, therefore does not really bother me.
All in all, combined Bioshock 2 relatively ordinary shooter elements with a lot of creative and extravagant ideas that make this game special. It is the attention to detail and all the little ideas that would have been necessary for the game is not necessarily, but enormously contribute to the compression of the atmosphere, giving a distinctive touch Bioshock and justify every penny of the purchase price.
Summary: Buy and dive. ;-)
