FEAR 2 is a good game that should satisfy fans of the genre "shooter Corridor" (fps linear). The game puts you in the shoes of Michael Becket, the special forces responsible enter the premises Armacham Technologies to protect Genevieve Aristide ... all this happens about 30 minutes before the end of the first FEAR. His solo mode ten hours is panting (the last levels are impressive), but unfortunately fails to raise the "fear" as its predecessor did. Blame the effects of surprise "agreed" and predictable that spoil the multiple appearances of Alma and far too easy the game, even in hard mode (ia worse overall than in FEAR 1, care kits galore, "luminous halo" around enemies when using the slow motion etc ...). Default size of the game: its multiplayer mode which, at present, still not benefited from dedicated servers ... so it's fair to cheating. The developers do not seem eager to remedy this concern. The mutlijoueur mode is therefore "accessory" for now (remember FEAR combat), and the replayability of the title is greatly limited. At completion, FEAR 2 runs very well on a midrange machine. The game is very nice overall (beautiful depth of field effects, cared models but we feel that the developers have produced a PC version which is actually a conversion of the console version: very ergonomic menus, "hud" in full game, big black bars top and bottom of the screen (the game is posted badly on screens other than 16/9), accessibility / ease of all ... We can also report "bugs" or even the absences of dynamic shadows (THE highlight of the first FEAR) on a lot of objects of decor (not dynamic lights or no shadows at all on certain objects ... while in FEAR 1 was the graphics engine a reference to that level) as well as a little too conspicuous use of "grain" in the pictures, which affects the immersion. Comparing the final game with the version of E3 2007 (video available on online video sites) is to wonder what went through the heads of developers as this 2007 version sounded more technically successful / immersion / atmosphere! His side by cons, no complaints it is fantastic. FEAR 2 short game is good but can not replace its older, fault too many concessions graphics / multiplayer / gameplay, although they had contributed to the success of FEAR first name. PS: Installation / STEAM account creation required to enjoy the game.
