An average game - which could be really good ... probably

As XCOM fan since 1994 THE BUREAU was a game which I counter looked very mixed feelings ... and even during through playing I was often torn know how to find this game now. I came after some thought to the conclusion that THE BUREAU is a game that is better than you could read in some places, but this was just not really thought through without question or designed to end and simply in spite definitely good approaches undercooked repeatedly acts.

I will not shake the feeling that THE BUREAU a real hammer before the Lord could have been if they had not used a lot of "fine tuning" on this product. Somehow you constantly feel that THE BUREAU appeared a few months too early and was not quite ready.

Technically, the game is more "so-so" - definitely not bad, but in the face of what appeared to comparable games for the good old XBOX 360 in 2013. Graphics and sound are not really convincing. The design of the levels also acts somewhat arbitrary, most of the time running from one very tube-like areas.
The gameplay is also somewhat arbitrary. Especially with the tactical possibilities THE BUREAU could score points right ... but it is in practice so that you can in most battles never really have to plan: the good shot positions are identified quickly, they occupied the team and snaps the aliens out. .. continue here for the next shootout. Real tactical decisions I have hardly met in this game actually.

This is exactly what I meant that in this game, much desired and semi-finished works: the tactics feature is indeed quite good, and if THE BUREAU would come up with some exciting tactical situations, you could here a grandiose synthesis between XCOM and a shooter like I care " Gears Of War "(which has been a clear Pate) have. So but it's rarely necessary, ever again come to a tactical decision.
The same applies to the entire gameplay of THE BUREAU, which is unfortunately quite devoid of surprises, and the story of the whole - also could easily still have been possible.

There is no doubt, despite all the criticism, THE BUREAU plays quite entertaining and is not really a low blow, but a game that shooter or XCOM fans can certainly indulge times ... if it THE BUREAU is not really excited but simply fun and quite suitable time for some nice, action-packed hours.

All in all, in this game you probably could make a real firecracker with more fine tuning and more care. Ideas and good ideas are plentiful. In the end, THE BUREAU is simply an average game, nothing more, nothing less.
I regretted not buying now, and the through Zocken made quite fun - only this game can be neither the hopes and expectations of XCOM fans just nor otherwise put real accents. THE BUREAU is the kind of game that you during the game, not bad place, but then through gambles rather indifferent.

Too bad - this would have been possible.
