While some may regret that figure XIII makes virtually contained, but it seems that Van Hamme revives here with what was the whole point of the XIII series:
ie good characters and a rich scenario, well built, with twists and revelations brought good.
Although we already knew the essence, so we follow with interest the adventures of Seamus O'Neil, a young Irishman who finds himself sucked by the IRA
Later, the new heroes will cross the path of characters we already knew.

Regarding the designs of Giraud, his style is actually very different from Vance.
