I like the unit very well. The performance is for almost all aspects more than adequate. The sucker can be adjusted with a knob in its performance. I use the part for all work outside the home, especially for the (wood) workshop and for the car. (After a workshop vacuum cleaner with time is no longer the outside really clean, I would not like to use in the apartment, actually. Unless a full water bottle goes sometimes broken again, then the water glass mixture can be very good from the floor suck ...)
Was initially a bit skeptical because of the smaller compared to the previous model engine, but the promise of Kärcher seem to agree: nothing has changed on the suction. That part sucks as before a 1800 watt vacuum cleaner. Power only not so much noise, which is good.
The MV 5 P I bought because of the power socket. Where I insert my table saw. And if I then turn on the, then the cleaner automatically switches to what is extremely practical and saves a lot of dirt. Who does not need the ranges and the MV 5 (and possibly also the MV 3 would have been enough, but I had no opportunity to test this).
Another reason to buy was the very pleasant and practical automatic filter cleaning for me. Simply push the button (or several times), and the filter is blown out by a strong reverse airflow. Saves an often tedious cleaning with water. And if that be necessary, you never know, then it is possible to expand the filter cartridge with a handle some games. For particularly stubborn dry dirt you can also take a vacuum cleaner bag (one is included); But this was for me never necessary. Have never tried (I used the bag yet - see below the addendum ...).
Bottom line: A very excellent vacuum cleaner with a lot of power. Although is not a bargain, admittedly, but in my opinion it is absolutely worth the money.

Well, the initial so highly praised by me filter cleaning works ultimately not quite as good as expected. Especially with fine wood dust (suction circular saw) he sits down to persistent and can not be re-blown free from the filter cleaning device. Since then helps only the removal of the filter and the tapping by hand. Then is all done quickly and not the end, that's why it stays with 5 stars. But wanted the experience immensely more like a grudge.
Addendum September 2014: I've now become accustomed to use a vacuum cleaner bag. For this to work much better with the dust extraction of the circular saw and mill, because the filter is no longer added. Will not use the vacuum cleaner for dry dust without vacuum cleaner bag.
