A very good in perspective

Not only this book gives us a good inventory of what today is known about the origin and purpose of the universe, but above all it gives us an opportunity to step back in relation to the scientific process and some may have faith in Science. Hawking reminds us well in this book, science is nothing more than formulate theories from observations, which are valid until a contrary observation comes contradict them.
This book is also a wonderful book to help the uninitiated to move a little to the understanding of the infinitely large and the infinitely small. This does not mean that it reads like a novel! In particular, I had to read the chapter on the basics of quantum physics to get to feel like it understand a little something.
The fact remains that the persevering will be rewarded. Recommended!
