So much in advance: U3 is an extremely entertaining game, where there is not really something to complain about.
Compared to its predecessors, it cuts much better than the first part, however, is subject to U2, the unter'm line seemed somehow round.
However, the differences zwiachen U2 and U3 are marginal. The improvements that U2 had towards U1, U3 is continuing largely; some things entwicklt U3 even further, in some ways, it makes a step back. It adheres broadly balanced.
Some notes:
The story is - like its predecessors - not worth mentioning. The usual formula of Indiana Jones adventure, opponent's mercenaries, a mystery of ancient seafarers, etc. This time, however, the two protagonists Drake and Sully honed by an early flashback something and made the players thus more accessible. An empathic anchor point is opened up, which has hitherto almost completely missing the series. The relationship between the two figures wearing therefore the stronger aspects of the plot. The rest is quickly forgotten, but for the genre justifiable.
The presentation is - as usual - fantastic. The graph follows the tremendous quality of the second part and may also loose measure with launch titles for the PS4. The two, three graphical errors that occur mainly in the first half of the game of speech are not worth it and fall anyway only very meticulous consideration on (here and there flashes before a polygon skeleton out because the texture not completely closes).
Orchestral soundtrack, professional actors and abnormal detailed scenarios with the proven from the direct predecessor of variety: the forgotten London Underground, an abandoned castle in southern France, a ship graveyard, various venues in the Arab world, etc.
Here a harmonious highlight chasing the next. Without anticipating too much, you can at least point out that there are course-hunts across rooftops and through the streets of the second city and various buildings and vehicles, which are destroyed catastrophically around you while still lurches through its bursting guts. Exciting, cool and above all: no pure QuickTime Klickereien. Man interacts almost exclusively by the usual gameplay with the game world - even in the most extreme situations.
A clear drawback are the fights.
It is true that the line remains faithful, not to repeat the Dauerschießerei of U1 and it is likely even less firefights as in U2 give, but unlike the direct prequel the shootings again make less fun and approaching total U1 to what in this gameplay Element truly not bekleckerte with fame.
This means that the return to cover shooter with an uppercase coverage. Many of the battles you have again significantly more cautious approach than in U2. On the one hand there are diverse too powerful and aggressive opponents, on the other hand the combat system to a two-component has been expanded, the tendency to playful outbraking: Beat 'em up-style pugilism.
After U1 had a rather impractical combat combo system, U2 brought more variety and gave Drake a hero damn powerful right hook. The result was that one time like the gun was cold in U2 and simply running toward a separated opponent to knock him with a sweeping blow.
U3 prevents this witty Kloppereien and forces the player into something too complex Brawler deposits. The whole thing is clearly to get tedious and makes after the first couple forced fistfights already not fun anymore.
A significant improvement, however, are the puzzles. Unlike their predecessors, these are now turned out for the first time a little more creative and require in some cases even a bit of thought. Of liked even more - for example, in exchange for 50% of the shooter deposits.
So: good game indeed invent ncihts new and usually relies on tried and tested from U2, however, uproots a leg to entertain the player.
