BUT:
- After unpacking the plane the first - well-known - problem: Camera freezes. Solution: Battery out
- Video could not be played smoothly on my Mac (which I initially attributed to the performance of the camera), solution: GoPro CineForm with convert (reason: the camera uses a proprietary codec and the video material is compressed strongly)
Of course I have several times tried the FW update the camera, unfortunately, nothing helped against freezing. I was clearly pissed off!
Permanent solution
- Resending (came to me out of the question because acquired in the US, I also wanted to know solved my problem)
- FW upgrade manually be set manually upgrade that has helped me: Since the GoPro Hero3 BE with me not once frozen!
Why the manufacturers do not contrives to deliver the camera with the latest firmware or the automatic Upgrade permanently and particularly reliably solves, is beyond me. Moreover, I find the manufacturer also miserable the support pages (actually, the whole website is confusing and too few / no information on freezing). Still, I give it 5 stars because the thing just delivering great results: I am very pleased with the results - the quality of the images (whether photo or video) is impressive !!!
