"Encore" is originally a double live album from 1976, its 4 LP pages have now been re-released on a CD. Recorded on the 76th-USA-tour of Tangs, highlighted this in my opinion, both the climax and the end of the "analog sequencer years" of TD. After this album Peter Baumann got out, Edgar Froese and Chris Franke did initially on alone and beat on rockier sounds. "Encore" has once again all facets of the 70s Tangerine Dream: bubbling sequences in "Cherokee Lane", gloomy analog sounds in "Desert Dream", Froese's virtuoso guitar work ("Coldwater Canyon") and not least melodic excerpts from the shortly before published studio work "Stratosfear" to "Mono Light". For me, "Encore" is still the best work of Tangerine Dream, the live sound is very good (especially for its time), and with more than 70 minutes of playing time this CD is worth the money anyway. Oh, TD had continued only at this level. In this album you can actually just "Encore!" (= "Encore!") Call.
