Afrob role with Hip-Hop (1999)

There are few, truly authentic rapper in Germany. Unfortunately, there is many just about self-expression and to its image.
Quite different Afrob (born Robert Zemichiel), an Eritrean rapper and actor, who was born in Italy and grew up in Germany. With its German debut role with hip-hop, he brought by the label Four Music (Sony Music) in 1999 very original and authentic tracks on the market. This album helped him at the beginning of the 21st century, to his great success.
Later, he made music with artists such as Samy Deluxe, under the name ASD. They released the album together who would have thought, which also was a great success.
But it was mainly the track Reimemonster his debut album, which he produced along with Ferric MC, which earned him his reputation. The track has become a classic of the German hip-hop. In my opinion, however, there are better tracks on the album, such as Spectacular Part 1 & Part 2. Just a pity that the track was divided into 2 parts, this disturbs an already if you every time in the middle of the tracks (ie at the end the 1st part) needs to fully listen to the track change to the second part.
But generally a very successful track and a very good album. In addition are other artists on the album, such as Johan, Wasi, Spezializtz, Meli, Max and Skillz en masse. Afrobs album has a very good balance between on the one hand and on the other party tracks very serious and thoughtful lyrics. However, all tracks are not good.
Nevertheless would probably almost every hip hop lover recommend buying this classic. Afrob simply has a unique flow and a distinctive voice that you can recognize it even years later in each track. The price of the album of almost 30 is justified in any case and a purchase worthwhile. The album is a classic of German hip-hop that is a must in any collection.
