The album has many facets, of melancholy and gloomy songs that radiate all a touch of "Mechanical Animals", about melodic songs with catchy rhythms, to the good old rock shockers that, one thinks often with a wink refer to old classics. Although the band musically closer to the mainstream, so make the thoughtful lyrics and the omnipresent criticism of the American lifestyle is yet again something special.
The band therefore shows itself from its best side without warm old news or lapsing into clichés and leaves the long-lost, provocative vein appear again. Where the previous album "Eat me, drink me" the fans split, this album seems it again to bring all under one roof.
Who Manson always with a mixture of fascination and aversion faced that could be drawn from this album at his side. If you've always liked him, will be hopefully be carried away by this album. And who has always hated Manson, well, that can anyway take his opinion into hell.
Who wants to listen, here's my personal song recommendations: Leave a Scar and Four Rusted Horses.
Enjoy the Ride!
