I have (apart from the name) you've never heard of this band and had it not necessarily before, as I usually far more for traditional folk à la "The Corries" or "The Dubliners" have left until you me this gave CD and I'm really excited. When I pre-empted a modern folk-rock in Berürung the combination of the two elements has always been rather moderate, which has the folk element taken the "depth" or its traditional character (whether as drinking or satirical song, a ballad, Jig or Reel) too much diluted. For reasons difficult to describe this is not the case here. As a newcomer, I can not compare with other albums, but Fiddlers Green manages instrumental and singing with this album mature fast (ie very danceable) and also slow Folklore new clothes and (even if you know the pieces all right, what with me only sporadically was the case) may make again einganzes piece interesting and obtain particularly their character as such here. I'll get me definitely more albums and a concert at the earliest opportunity, tape and CD are highly recommended.
