Here are my criticisms of the 2011 edition:
1. Packaging that really serves both the CD, the booklet and the paper wrapping itself in
damaging each use. She has unfortunately nothing deceptively with a high quality (at first glance
similar) paper sleeve of the "Japanese" spending together.
2. Cheap pressure (from the Eastern bloc - takt.eu) - the disc can not be 100% - "range quality"
read by EAC. In my CD from the 80-gene (despite some scratches - they will soon be 30 years old) is
which is still not a problem.
3. And the best for last:
Mastering is a prime example of another "Loudness War" declaration for posterity.
The DR value (measured with TT Dynamic Range Meter 1.4) of the CD goes down from 14 to 12th
The "peak value" is set to "over" on both channels.
I like to add in all the 3 EAC and DR log excerpts.
The main question is, can you hear it?
I could see the difference on both my old hi-fi system via loudspeakers on a HiFi-Man 602
(PCM wave) with Sony MDR-EX700LP and in the following chain:
Sony CD X7ESD (with BurrBrown / Mundorf Upgrade) + Grado RA1 / Grado GS1000i clearly perceive.
Not only that everything here is significantly higher than controls, the entire stage was very disadvantageous in passion
drawn.
