And now it was time again

The 6th sandwich toaster Krups FDK 441/451 has once again stretched the wings.
The 5th broken Zuhalteclip. Fortunately I have now to repair the spare parts themselves. Otherwise this would have once again ended up in scrap.
The sandwich maker is otherwise really class. Easy to clean, square pans, even for the large sandwich slices. Very heavily made - up to Zuhalteclip of cheap plastic with a now in its second generation intended breaking point.
If you use the appliance more often the clip 1 is sometimes broken in the warranty and you get a completely new device (I have the device now 3 times and 3 times bought replaces get). During last times 1 year ago was then also changed to the new model 451.
To find out if this error has been improved in the new version, I wrote to the Krups Support. The answer was pretty clear to me. The exception of the on / off switch to the new model 451 did not differ from the old 441. And so came the answer. Krups is not aware of this breaking point.
As the old disappeared with the new model from the Ama..n Store, disappeared also the entire user reports on these Kontruktionsfehler - how convenient.
A prime example of planned obsolescence of a really high quality and good equipment.
