Two songs stand out very clearly from the other. `Lines in the sand` and` Trial of tears` are both about 12 and 13 minutes. Here the big screen is offered throughout. All 5 musicians can fully convince. The songs are very varied, some hard and fast, then quiet again with a lot of melody. In addition, you currently listening out for `Trial of tears` that the group has been very influenced by Rush of Canada.
`` Hollow years` and Anna Lee` are two beautiful ballads that will surely rank among their best ever. Here, the singer James LaBrie show how good he is. I think, anyway, that he is besser` at the quieter song and part `.
`New millennium` is a very strong opener. The song will pop! `Peruvian skies` is probably my favorite song on the album. He begins to slow and mysterious, increases after some time something then again to perform a huge increase. Indescribable! Certainly one of the top songs of the group.
`You Not Me 'is radio friendly. Desmond Child, known by KISS, here is co-author. `Hell`s is kitchen` a very good instrumental. Since the group but the bar in the past has itself set so high that the song in direct comparison is rather average.
The bottom line gets "Falling Into Infinity" of course 5 star. Just because it is not melodic and so `frikkelig`, it is certainly not worse than other plants of the group. Allen who like this record, I can happily recommend the "Octavarium".
