As long waiting deserves much more attention!

For some volumes already, JR Ward has opted to decorate the romance of its flagship couple of several intrigues appendices which hitherto was far from displeasing me, except for Payne and Manny. While a lot of fans of the series saw it as a lack of inspiration or a blatant penalty to renew, I thought they brought a fresh breath on a frame that bogged down: fighting against the lessers, sex, love , Brotherhood VS Omega ... This 11th opus "centered" on Blay / Vifh and Layla implicitly, was awaited with excitement by much of the audience, which was not particularly my case, I was expecting in not more than usual. Yet he missed more attention on the wonderful romance looming, the two soldiers seeking long without ever finding a real game of cat and mouse in which roles were reversed regularly. In addition, at the end of their history, too many questions remain ...

Previous volumes have triggered the events that followed, especially with the arrival of Xcor and his band of bastards in Caldwell, all motivated to dethrone Kohler even associate with the Glyméra abusing the evilly. But since Layla generously offered her his blood, has X'cor head elsewhere, while the Elected faces disturbing problems as well as dishonorable. By his blood and his rank, it is the receptacle of the divine seed of Primale, or secretly she offered her virginity to Vifh during his first call in order to conceive a child with this vampire rejected by his own and made at center stage in this opus. But his secret is about to be discovered, old customs die hard tooth and generate relatively few comic situations.

His secret job with Kohler favored rapprochement with the soldier to the chagrin of Vifh, but what was to be a purely sexual relationship drifted deeper feelings, one way, and the break seems inevitable. Fortunately the lessers are very present so despite the Brotherhood spends most of his time at the manor, which allows us to follow the development of emotional and sexual relationships of the protagonists. I'm not a regular romances MM yet, JR Ward manages to make us pass like any other love story, maybe she has avoided taking risks by associating with so many parallel situations, it's a shame!

Not content to make us stamping each cat among the pigeons by manhandling us from one case to another to provide suspense, the author adds us additional contexts with Shadows that are the Moor brothers, Trez and taking Iam here more breadth and consistency. Similarly we are following the takeover of Assail the drug trade that Vhengeance held ... It actually eh ??? Yet this is only the beginning of all that is going on here !!! The Friars manage all in a spirit of solidarity with humor and loyalty we know them, it moves revelations of surprises, it bleeds, it suffers, it gets excited and that layer but beyond all it appears again and again that intangible bond between two beings destined to one another that are struggling to attain happiness they deserve and that every passion of the Brotherhood hopes long tome and intense ... touching characters who would still have deserved a little more attention on the part of the author.
