Asus 248qe class gamer monitor with weaknesses in color reproduction

I got myself the monitor, as I have again started strongly after a long absence with FPS shooters like Battlefield and Counter Strike Go and my old monitor Dell 2709W produced with S-PVA panel as too much streaks.
The Asus monitor is, in terms of performance, really super. The change from 60 Hz. To 144 Hz and also of 8ms response time to 1 ms is strongly felt. The goals on fast moving opponents runs much better. Light Boost brings there also again an additional improvement.
The expandable crosshairs is a great thing because you in every situation has a fixed target point.

However, the monitor has strong weaknesses in the color reproduction. By that I mean not photo editing or the like, even when looking at the Windows Dektop or when calling homepages colors appear compared with my very good Dell washed out and not taken properly.
But even compared with low budget TN monitors (eg from my wife or acquaintances) I find the image not very nice.
After a little play around and with significant deviations from the factory settings (Brightness: 50 Contrast: 50, Red: 96, Green: 92, Blue: 90) I've hammer out more or less so that homepages etc. look again halfway normal.
Really pleased I am with the presentation, although still not, however, the advantages in the gaming sector predominate so much that I will go and stay with the monitor, at least as long as there is no IPS or PVA panels with 120Hz.

For hardcore gamers highly recommended.
Casual gamers, movies gazer or all those a pretty picture is more important than a few streaks, had better access to the other monitor.
