Before that I had met the only other monitor the currently these criteria, the Acer XB270HAbprz, but this had a relatively poor black level and even for a TN panel a narrow viewing angle. Because I wanted to get used to and especially the poor black level is not right I took my Philips 272G5DYEB / 00th Comparing much to me that the black level was much better and had no blue tinge, as is the case and that the viewing angles and brightness distribution was better at Acer. Otherwise, they were in all other respects (sharpness, brightness, contrast) at a fairly similar, high level (for TN panels), the color reproduction was perhaps a tick better but the Acer nothing decisive. Overall, my choice was clear and the Acer was sold again.
positive is next to the (very good) image should be mentioned:
+ A good, structured OSD
+ Mattes housing
+ Stable base
+ Convenient USB HUB
rather negative is this struck me:
Particularly the top and bottom margins compared to Acer and my monitor before (Asus) extremely thick which makes the monitor erscheinnen much larger than it actually is - - very thick frame. Too bad, especially at the price
- Info whether G-Sync is active only low cost in the Monitor menu (info in the main OSD would have been better)
- Black level might still be a little better - is indeed better than the Acer, but I've already better Geshen the TN panel.
All in all, though, for me simply the best monitor on the market. Whether has the qualities and features justify the high price for everyone to know, I do not regret the purchase in any case and recommend the monitor without hesitation :)
