As a fan of science-fiction literature and electronic music "Songs of Distant Earth" my absolute favorite CD by Mike Oldfield. With this CD, he has opened the bridge to new shores, where he perfectly captures the spirit of SF fans. Through the slow mood structure Oldfield brings the listener slowly in his own universe. At some point one has the feeling of floating, which reaches through the track "Hibernaculum" the absolute peak before the trip arrived too quickly at their destination. This CD Oldfield has accomplished something that many artists will never succeed, extension of your own mind by addressing a new musical form.
