Since it has been criticized by many, rightly, that there is no "automatic distortion correction" at Nikon Support is available for this lens, I would like to add now that this has been set for 01.09.2014 there. Download now beihaltet all current lenses including the 18-140mm. Thus, this is probably no longer a reason not to buy the lens. Now the way for me is free. Will this lens buy as a kit together with the D7100.
