I have just eaten this Chickpeas in the form of a chickpea curry and it was delicious! :-) The chickpeas from Baktat are dried and must be soaked overnight in water. They double their weight, I took 300g dried chickpeas, after soaking and then dripping with just over 600g. This, I then boiled in water (without salt), about half an hour (up until they were soft). In a pan, I sautéed half a diced onion in a little oil, to which I have given (carrots, zucchini and red pepper) in pieces cut vegetables and well browned. Then I added the cooked Kicherbsen, infused with coconut milk and cream and all seasoned with salt, pepper, curry, Indian spices, garlic, green curry paste, a little honey and a dash of lemon. In addition I have cooked basmati rice. It was wonderful!
